We're taking a trip to the theatre! We have a limited number FREE tickets to see the play ''Forget Me Not' at Belvoir Theatre in Surry Hills.
The play tells the story of the 3,000+ British children who, between 1945 and 1968, were told they were orphans and sent to Australia on a promise of warmth, fresh air, abundant food and boundless opportunity. Instead they arrived to deprived institutions where neglect and abuse were the norm.
Gerry is almost 60, and he is going to meet his mother for the first time since he was three. His daughter Sally has had it up to here with him and his problems. The old lady lives somewhere in the UK. Liverpool, according to the records. So Gerry is going there to find out what made him who he is.
The play is written in a series of raw, often achingly beautiful conversations between members of a scattered family. Drawing the whole thing together is Gerry's extraordinary, precarious bid to finally learn what it means to love and belong to a family.
Meet at Twenty10 for a quick lunch and then we'll leave at 1:40pm and walk to the theatre together.

Today is our youth consultation. Come and share your thoughts, ideas and dreams for Twenty10!
Some of the things we'll be asking about include our Safer Space Guidelines, the services we offer - what we're doing well, not so well and what you'd like to see us doing in the future. This is a great opportunity to voice your opinions, concerns and have an impact on the way we do things.
The consultations will be run by Rebecca Reynolds, Twenty10's Manager, so it's a good way to have a conversation that will make it into all of the planning work that Twenty10 does.

We recently made friends with a youth group in Pheonix, Arizona called One in Ten and became pen pals! They sent us a care package full of postcards, magazines other bits and peices and a video they made. Today we'll work on a response - write postcards and make some videos.
