This year’s theme: We Are The Change

Here at Twenty10, we are fortunate to see young people changing the world every day. We are always inspired by their activism and resilience.

We hope that our services can make a change in the world by giving these amazing people the support they need to be their best selves through our programs. Twenty10 proudly provides housing, counselling, case management, social support and advocacy to LGBTIQA+ young people around Sydney and New South Wales.

How are you celebrating Wear It Purple Day? Here are some ways you can bring Twenty10 into the fun!

Our acclaimed PRISM LGBTIQA+ Inclusivity training is now online! We also offer training tailored to your organisation. Get in touch if you want to learn more.

10 years of Wear It Purple

Wear it Purple Day was started in 2010 by two young people, Katherine Hudson and Scott Williams, in response to stories of people being bullied due to their sexuality or gender identity from around the world. This included the suicide of American young person Tyler Clementi.

Today, Wear it Purple has expanded to a worldwide movement, with people putting on their favourite purple clothes to show LGBTIQA+ young people that they’re not alone, and that they are wonderful just the way they are.

Twenty10 are proud partners of Wear It Purple. Check out their online store here!
