
Situated in Pride Square at the heart of Newtown (Gadigal & Wangal), the Inner West Pride Centre is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ communities to connect, gather and access support, and offers spaces for community hire.
Operated by Twenty10 on behalf of the Inner West Council, we’re bringing the Pride Centre to life by fostering community through partnerships with grassroots LGBTQIA+ organisations, groups, individuals, and communities. Our vision is to create a Pride Centre accessible to all.

Featuring beautifully restored wooden floorboards, and a full AV system Pride Hall can be configured for rehearsals, performances, receptions, shows, strategy meetings, band nights as well as private events including weddings and parties.

Rainbow Room is our meeting room upstairs in the Pride Centre with a central heating system, wide windows for natural lighting, and a comfortable lounge space that can be booked as a space for meetings, AGM's, screenings and rehearsals.

All fees for the Pride Centre are now due at the time of booking. Bookings are only confirmed once you have heard from our Pride Centre Producer and all fees have been paid.

Who can book the Pride Centre?
We prioritise space for LGBTQIA+ groups and individuals but hold events for all of the Inner West and Sydney communities. We welcome all First Nations individuals and organisations to reach out to use the Pride Centre.
What are your booking fees?
As of 16 FEB 2026 we have a new booking procedure. We charge hourly rates with varying fees to best suit your organisation and event. We offer a fee waiver on a limited basis. Please contact us for more information if you think this is applicable to your hire.

What facilities are available at the Pride Centre?
Pride Hall has a fully functional AV system including wireless microphones, a projector and screen, and four affixed speakers. You will receive instructions how to use these facilities during your venue induction.
You will also be provided with an AV guide, once your booking has been accepted.
For large scale events it is recommended that you engage an audio-visual professional.
Is the Pride Centre accessible?
Pride Hall and the Rainbow Room are both located on Level 1. There is lift access and accessible toilets on this level. There is also an accessible bathroom on the lower level which can be accessed with a MYLAK key.
Pride Hall is equipped with a hearing loop.
Can I book the Pride Square?
Pride Square activations are managed separately by the Inner West Council. Please get in touch with their team for more information bookingsteam@innerwest.nsw.gov.au
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Twenty10 agrees to hire the Venue to the Hirer on the following terms and conditions.
1. Venue Hire
The Hirer will pay Twenty10 the Hire Fee, and Twenty10 hereby grants the Hirer a non-exclusive license to occupy and use the Venue on the Hire Date/s as agreed. The Hirer is aware of the amounts of all fees and charges for use of the Venue.
The Hirer also agrees to the following general conditions:
- Bookings will not be accepted within seven (7) days of a proposed event date.
- The Hirer must include the time required for set up, pack up, and cleaning within your booked hire time.
- The venue is a dry hire: No staff are provided. Hirers are responsible for set-up, pack-down, and “making good” the venue.
- Depending on the nature of your event, our Pride Centre Producer may be allocated to assist with the delivery of your event. Our Pride Centre is not included in Venue Hire Fees. Our team will determine the cost required for additional staff needed for your event.
- Twenty10 events have priority. If a booking conflicts with a Twenty10 event, the hirer must surrender the booking. Twenty10 will provide at least two (2) alternatives and can assist to find an alternative venue within one of the Inner West Council venues.
Twenty10 can provide a quote for venue hire once all event information has been provided.
2. Payment of Hire Fee, Hourly Rates, Costs
The Hirer must pay the Hire Fee as per terms on the invoice or by confirming payment in the Inner West Pride Centre booking calendar.
Twenty10 will not be obliged to license the Venue to the Hirer and may license the Venue to another party if the entire Hire Fee is not paid in accordance with this clause.
If the Hirer has not paid the balance of the Hire Fee up to 48 hours prior to the Hire Date/s then the Hirer is deemed to have cancelled the booking.
If the Hirer occupies the Venue prior to or after the agreed Hire period then Twenty10 shall be entitled to charge the Hirer, and the Hirer will be liable to pay Twenty10 the Hourly Rate Fee set out in the Booking and prorated for any part of an hour that the Hirer may so occupy the Venue.
In addition to payment of the Hire Fee and the Hourly Rate Fee (if applicable), and any other rights that Twenty10 may have arising from this Agreement, the Hirer must pay to Twenty10 all costs for any damage or replacement costs to the Venue or the Building or the equipment and facilities located therein, any cleaning and reconfiguration of security devices required because of the use of the Venue by the Hire.
3. Bond
Twenty10 may request a security bond be paid by the Hirer based on the nature of the event. The standard bond is $500 but may be more dependent on the nature of your event.
The bond will be refunded in two weeks if the Venue is left in a satisfactory condition to Twenty10. If any additional charges (e.g. cleaning or repairs) are incurred before, during or after the event, these costs will be deducted from the security bond.
4. Damages
The Hirer must not damage the Venue, or any equipment or facilities provided by Twenty10. The cost of any damage or repairs will be taken from the bond. If the amount is greater than the bond, Twenty10 may recover the shortfall from the Hirer as a debt due and owing.
5. Insurance
The Hirer must provide a Certificate of Currency for $20 million public liability insurance with an insurer acceptable to Twenty10. The Certificate of Currency must be submitted for approval upon confirmation of the event. The insured name will appear on the Schedule for the event.
6. Access to the Venue
Twenty10 reserves the right to control the Venue, including the timing of opening and closing of doors and the admission of the public (including the right to refuse admission to any person/s ).
7. Site inspections and inductions
Prior to your event, site inspections will be conducted by our Pride Centre Producer. Any new Hirers will also be required to undertake a venue induction prior to your event.
At the induction, important accessibility, safety, and WHS information will be provided.
8. Venue Capacity
Pride Hall and the Rainbow Room have maximum capacity as below. The Hirer agrees to cap the limit of events based on these numbers. Depending on the event configuration your event may have more limited capacity.
If this is the case, our Pride Centre Producer will be in touch.
9. Crowd Control and Security
Twenty10 may require your event to have security, especially if the main door is to be open for the duration of your event. This cost is payable by the Hirer. This will be agreed upon prior to your event with our Pride Centre Producer.
If the front door is to remain open, a representative will have to remain on the front door for the duration of it remaining open.
10. Alterations and Decorations
The Hirer will provide a list of alterations and planned decorations for the Venue prior to commencement. Twenty10 prioritises minimising environmental impact, and as such request there is no glitter used at the event.
11. Departure from Venue
The Hirer shall leave the Venue, its facilities and equipment in a clean, safe and proper condition as at the commencement of the hiring, to the satisfaction of Twenty10, and will remove all goods and equipment brought in by the Hirer in accordance with any direction from Twenty10. Twenty10 shall not have any liability in respect of loss or damage caused to goods left in the Venue.
Bump out for all events must conclude no later than midnight. If additional time is required, the Hirer must inform the Pride Centre Producer prior to the event commencement.
The Hirer will be responsible for sourcing their own cleaning materials and services. All rubbish must be removed from the Venue at the conclusion of the event.
If the venue is left in an unsatisfactory state, at our discretion, a cleaning fee will be taken out of the bond and or charged through our online booking system to the card that made the booking.
12. Copyright
The Hirer must not infringe or allow others to infringe any copyright, performing right or other protected right involved in any performance or use of the venue.
The Hirer guarantees that that they have obtained all licenses or other approvals as required for any performance of any works to be performed.
13. Catering
As Inner West Pride Centre is not a licensed venue, an appropriate liquor licence is required to serve/sell alcohol in the Venue. The responsibility to ensure that an appropriate license has been obtained for the appropriate delivery, storage and service of alcohol during events held in the Venue, rests at all times with the Hirer.
The Inner West Pride Centre does not have a commercial kitchen suitable for catering. Upstairs has a small kitchenette with a tap and oven.
All catering equipment will be need to be brought in and removed. If any catering equipment is left on premises after the event, Twenty10 can remove the
If engaging the services of contractor to conduct activities and or provide catering you must provide all necessary clearances, certificates, insurances and permits pertaining to the services provided, such as RSA certificates, food safety certificates, public liability insurance, working with children checks, and police event and statutory notifications.
14. Signage
The Hirer must comply with all signage requirements from the Venue and must not affix anything to the walls without the prior written consent of the Venue.
The Hirer must also not remove any of the materials affixed to the Venue.
15. Right of Entry
Twenty10 reserves the right to enter and inspect the Venue at any time. The Hirer will not obstruct any member of Twenty10 from entering the Venue.
16. Indemnity for Hirers and their Agents
The Hirer indemnifies Twenty10 for any injury, costs, loss or damage arising out of the use of the Venue and/or the conduct of the Hirer, its agents, employees, participants and invitees (including legal costs in a solicitor/client basis, damage to the Venue, the Building or the facilities located with the Building and injury, costs, loss or damage arising from
failure by the Hirer to comply (or ensure compliance with) except where such injury, costs, loss of damage arises by the negligence of Twenty10.
17. Waiver
The provisions of these Terms and Conditions can only be varied or waived in writing.
18. Hirer’s Employees and Agents
All persons engaged by the Hirer in connection with the Venue hiring must comply with the provisions of this Agreement, and the Hirer agrees to accept responsibility for any failure on the part of his or her agents, employees and contractors to observe and comply with these provisions.
