Services & Referrals

Yes, you don’t need a parent or a youth worker to refer you to our service. You can call us on (02) 8594 9555 between 1-3pm on Tuesday-Friday to speak to our intake worker, or fill out an enquiry form and select call, text or email to let us know how you would like us to get in touch.

When you first visit for your appointment with a Twenty10 worker you will need to ring the doorbell on the left side of the door. A Twenty10 worker will answer and ask if you are here for an appointment. Please let them know who you are here to see. You will then be buzzed into our foyer and brought through to the waiting area. We will let the person you’re meeting with know that you have arrived, and if you need a glass of water or the bathroom just let us know.

The Inner West Pride Centre has an accessible entrance as well as all gender accessible bathrooms. Please let us know if you have additional accessibility requirements so we can assist you upon entry.

We provide free in-person and telehealth counselling for young people aged 12-15 with carer/guardian consent. If you are 16-25 you can access our service as an independent.

We also offer a range of social support programs are available for young people aged 12-25. For full details head to our Social Support Programs information page.

You can attend our monthly Queer Youth Access Zone (QYAZ) event to speak to a Centrelink worker in-person about accessing Centrelink or the Disability Support Pension (DSP). If you can’t make it to our QYAZ event, speak to our intake worker about where a Centrelink worker is available to speak with near you.

We do not keep a waitlist for our services, however, places are limited. We suggest calling our intake line every few weeks to check in about capacity, or to get a referral for another service.

Social Groups & Events

Twenty10 social groups and events are for young LGBTIQA+ folks aged 12-25. We have a range of programs available for different age groups including:

  • Drop In (Ages 12-25)
  • OUTwest (Ages 12-17 & Ages 18-25 on alternating fortnights)
  • GLAM (Ages 12-17)
  • Queer Youth Access Zone (Ages 12-25)

Check out our Youth Services Groups and Programs page for more information on our social support groups and programs. Please reach out via the Contact Us form if you have any accessibility requirements.

All Twenty10 social groups and events are free! We’re proud to keep all our spaces and events free so that young people across NSW can access safer spaces regardless of their situation.

Our social groups do NOT require registration or RSVPs – simply turn up! These are safe spaces to meet your needs, whether it’s to meet other young LGBTIQA+ people, a quiet space to decompress, a safe space to express yourself, or just to hang out!

On top of our regular social groups, we organise a range of activities and events throughout the year. The capacities for these events will vary and may require registration – keep an eye on our socials for announcements of exciting new events as they come up!

Our social groups, like Drop In, GLAM, and OUTwest, are welcoming spaces where LGBTQIA+ young people can relax, connect with others, or simply be themselves. We start each group with an optional round of introductions using names and pronouns.

You’ll find snacks, games, art supplies, and sometimes structured activities like movie nights or workshops. At Drop In, there is also access to a free gender-affirming wardrobe, a free library and food pantry.

Social Groups at The Inner West Pride Centre

Drop In and Queer Youth Access Zone are the two social groups that we host at The Inner West Pride Centre. There is an accessible entry, elevators, and also all gender accessible bathrooms available. When you first arrive to Twenty10 you will need to ring the doorbell on the left side of the door. A Twenty10 worker will answer and ask if you are here for an event or an appointment. You will then be buzzed into our foyer. All social events are upstairs in our Rainbow Room. Follow the signs up the stairs on your right or use the lift on your left. A Twenty10 worker will be hanging out in the room, with snacks, activities and clothes. There are different spaces in the room that you can hang out in with plenty of fidgets and plush toys.

Social Groups at other locations

GLAM is hosted at Manly Youth and Community which is a shared community space where other community groups will also run events at the same time. When you arrive you can enter through the main doors and follow the signage to the GLAM room. There is an accessible entry and also accessible bathrooms on site, but the venue sits on a hill, so reach out if you need assistance!

OUTwest is hosted at headspace Parramatta. If you arrive before 5pm, you can enter the building. A friendly headspace receptionist may direct you to wait in the lobby until the group starts. At 5PM, a Twenty10 worker will direct you into the group’s room for Outwest.

If you arrive after 5PM, the doors to the building will likely be locked. There will be a sign with the number of a Twenty10 worker that you can call or text and they will come and let you in.

To maintain the safety and privacy of all the young people we work with, we unfortunately cannot allow parents or carers into our social support spaces.

We invite parents and carers who are actively supporting their LGBTIQA+ young person to show support through the various other avenues such as connecting in with Rainbow Families who provide safe events and spaces for all ages and families to connect.

If you are looking to build your capacity in supporting your young person, Twenty10 also occasionally hosts community training sessions open to the public, including sessions specifically created to help parents and carers of LGBTIQA+ people. For more information check out our Training & Consulting page.
